A world without Bitcoin
What would the world look like without Bitcoin?
With governments restricting more of our rights, what would be our light at the end of the tunnel? And with COVID, this trend has accelerated, with our movement and access to goods and resources diminished all for the sake of public safety.
With inflation rates climbing due to poor central bank policies, punishing savers. With governments cracking down on ownership of cash, trying to push 1984-esque money like CBDCs, and hinting at unrealized gains/wealth taxes. Where could we store our money without threat from governments?
I’m thankful for Bitcoin because it’s an antidote against government overreach and negligence with our money.
I’m thankful for Bitcoin because it is the only source of truth in a world awash in lies.
I’m thankful for Bitcoin because, through this new sound money, the world will become a better place.
I am thankful for Bitcoin because it gave me a higher purpose to fight for.

It's Thanksgiving. Time to orange pill the relatives! Now they all have 401ks or IRAs… instead of liquidating those and incurring a big tax bill, they can buy Bitcoin directly with my partner Choice IRA ($50 in free Bitcoin when you sign up)
Giving thanks
Let’s all give thanks to those who are helping push Bitcoin forward. You can do this by giving praise to those you admire, or through donating your money or time.
Donations to advance Bitcoin
Human Rights Foundation: Bitcoin donations are run by Alex Gladstein. I’ve personally donated to this 501c3 charity to advance Bitcoin’s usability in areas with poor or restricted internet. (Donate here)
OpenSats: A 501c3 created by Matt Odell and Ben Price for core development support (Donate here)
Brink: A 501c3 spinoff from Chaincode labs run by Mike Schmidt that supports core development (Donate here)
What else you can do
Create content: Have that draft Substack newsletter or Medium article? Sit down this weekend and get it across the finish line and press publish.
Spread the word: Tell your family and friends about it!
Build products or services: Build a startup that helps make Bitcoin more accessible, easier to use, or useful.
Last but not least, I want to say I’m thankful for you all. The support of my content is humbling. Three years ago I didn’t consider myself a public speaker or writer, but I started writing because there was a burning in my heart to correct some misconceptions around Bitcoin (ex: energy consumption, fairness, immaculate conception, monetary policy). From then until now, it’s been an incredible experience bringing hundreds of thousands of nocoiners into Bitcoin!
Thank you and have a happy Thanksgiving!

Note that I am not an investment professional, and this is not investment advice.
this is a really powerful thought for bitcoiners to think through: "what would you be doing with your money if ₿ didn't exist?"
... this is why i'm grateful.. i'd be on the fiat hamster wheel and scared about my (family's) future. thank god for bitcoin.
Any good meetups for crypto people you like in the Bay Area/SF?
